WALKING IN CONFIDENCE

Everyday is a new day to work on your inner life.  You might think, “What has that got to do with me?” or “What am I doing right now?”  Please take a moment and reflect on the important thing in this life.  This life in truth is a short time in our eternal life’s prospective.

It is most important that we continue to build and use our best judgment throughout our lives.  Each day we have new experiences; some we would just rather not grow through.  It isn’t always the easiest things in life or our most favorite to endure or tolerate but think along these lines.  When God says that He provides for your needs and that He sees the end from the beginning, just remember that when he started your life He saw the direction and the completion of all that you will ever do.  He has good plans for you and for now your part is to trust Him daily and He will provide your every need.

I am sure that Joseph didn’t just get all happy when his brothers grabbed him and were going to kill him.  I am sure that he was glad to be alive but being in slavery was still not his ideal of being or having all he dreamed of in his life.  He did well again for a short season, but apparently it was not to last either; but he didn’t give up after he was cast into prison for not being promiscuous with another man’s wife.  After he was thrown into prison; he had no way of knowing that he would be in the right place at the right time to be in charge of the food distribution.  God had Joseph in place to bring deliverance to his people.

Today while you are pondering on your problems, great or small, remember that it is in times like these that we build our confidence in the Lord.  In fact, the scriptures tell us that it is through faith and patience that we receive the promise.

Have a blessed day and remember that your steps are directed by the Lord~

“The steps of good men are directed by the Lord.  He delights in each step they take” (Psalm 37:23 LB).
