"And the
peace of God, which transcends all powers of thought,
will be a garrison to guard your hearts and minds in
Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:7).
Can you
for a moment just imagine having a peace in your life
that transcends, goes beyond, exceeds all powers of
thought? Can you imagine how strong that must be? To
have power surging through your being that will give you
a peace regardless of the circumstances and having that
power in you to barricade or occupy force over your
heart and your mind.
What kind
of force would it be that could surmount that much force
inside you that it could send an occupying force to
surround your heart and surround your mind to allow the
Peace of God to abide and take control of your being,
your existence?
Now you
can imagine probably a little more over the heart issue
since that is the spirit of man, and it does belong to
God the Father. What about your mind? It is your
responsibility to make sure that every thought has
submitted itself to God by knowing His words and
following the life that is designed for you. How can we
make sure that our thoughts are submitted unto God? I
learned a long time ago that it is definitely my
responsibility to renew my mind with the word of God and
that my works be yielded to please Him.
It may
seem simple to many people that will bring judgment to
your life. It may seem like you don’t care. It may
even appear that you ignore your circumstances, but in
reality the circumstance that surrounds you today
changes day by day. The Lord says “I am the Lord your
God and I change not.” Our reality is fixed upon Him.
The thoughts that try to puncture your heart and make
holes in your helmet are designed to destroy you. The
Bible says that no weapon formed against you shall
prosper because you have chosen to lean and rely upon
the Lord Jesus Christ and find your salvation in Him.
So you can take the time today to set your eyes upon
the Father; you can set your face like flint to
accomplish His good pleasure. You know that you are
special to Him; you are His child, and as long as you
obey His commands nothing can in any way hurt or destroy
you completely.
Just to
remind you of the Peace that we are referring to I found
a quote that I want to share. “The peace of God is that
eternal calm which lies far too deep down to be reached
by any external trouble or disturbance.” Like wells of
living water when we are in need, when drought may fall
upon our lives, we dip into that living water to find
that the life-giving source abides with us forever. Have
a Blessed Day. May you find all that you search for this
day!
