We
have been given precious promises that God
will assist us and guide us in our times of
need. We can be confident that god has
planned ahead of this day to prepare us and
the events of our day so we can live
steadfastly. We receive this gift from
heaven; we are blessed to have and share our
memories and our lives with the greatest
blessing of all.
Allow me to take this opportunity to share
how I see the blessings of a Mother.
As God assists us and guides us in our lives
and through our times of need, we must take
the opportunity to thank Him and to thank
the Lady that God placed in our lives to
instill the principles and standards in our
lives to bring each of us the reassurance we
all need. Mom, thank you teaching me
God's principles. His standards do
govern my life today.
I look around and see many lives on a
pivoting point governed by the life of the
most trusted person in their lives.
Mothers are God's Divine Assistants.
In our time of need we can call on our
mother to help us in many ways: To
listen when we need to talk, to hold us when
we need a hug, to be there to cheer us on
when we have done well and to give us
assurance that we are never alone.
Proverbs 3:13 says, "Happy is the man
that finds wisdom, and the man that gets
understanding,"
And Proverbs 1:5 says, "A wise man will
hear and will increase learning and a man of
understand shall attain unto wise counsels."
I learned to hear the wise counsel of my
mother and even today when she notices or
senses that I haven't shared everything with
her, she will call upon me to share all my
thoughts and all that is going on with my
family. I take that moment to thank
God for giving me my mother and then another
moment to share all that is going on.
God's "Divine Assistant" doesn't lack in
love, understanding, concern, patience and
the gift to share life.
God has blessed me many times. Today,
I pray that the blessings of the Lord will
be upon the lives and hearts of each mother.
"Heavenly Father, I pray that each day we
will continuously celebrate our gift from
you, our Divine Assistant, our Mothers.
I pray that each person reading or listening
to these words will be blessed and our
hearts encouraged to know that we have the
opportunity today to begin to share the love
and life that is in us with the Lady God
placed over our lives to help us, to watch
over us as we grew up that today we
celebrate with a grateful heart. Help
us to have an open heart to graciously give
this same love and encouragement to each
mother in our lives. Father, thank you
for my mother, the divine blessings she is
to me. In Jesus' name I pray.
Amen."
