Today is the day to know that as a Christian you
have the opportunity to become stable and fixed;
and when you are consistent in your belief, in
your motives, in your life choices, be assured
that the blessings of God will come on you and
overtake you.
“And all these blessings shall come on thee, and
overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the
voice of the Lord thy God” (Deuteronomy 28:2).
Each day we are given the many choices to make,
and each time you need to make a decision that you
are pondering in your heart, train yourself so you
can listen to your heart; and then make sure that
is your heart that you listen to.
God created you and you are a spirit, created in
His image; and when you are born again, you
receive a new-born spirit. The Bible tells us
that we will have to make decisions to follow
Christ, and in making decisions we will need to
know that there is a constant war between your
flesh (your earthly desires to please yourselves)
and your spirit (your spiritual desires to please
your Heavenly Father).
“For the good that I would I do not; but the evil
which I would not, that I do....O wretched man
that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of
this death?...I thank God through Jesus Christ our
Lord then with the mind I myself, serve the law of
God...” (Romans 7:19).
Your earthy desires do not always reflect the
desire or need of your spiritual being, and your
earthly desire doesn’t prefer to do what the
spirit wants to do. You are a three-part being.
You have a decision maker that helps you when you
are trying to make a decision. Your mind is
trained and it breaks in and makes the decision
(for the choices in your life); this part is your
soul, consisting of your mind, will and emotions.
Your soul is not born again, and your mind (your
thoughts and reasoning capabilities) need to be
renewed by learning God’s Word and listening to
the Spirit of God. As you learn God’s Word, you
will learn the sound of His voice and know the
promptings of the Spirit.
When you know His Word and know His voice, you
have the grand opportunity to be led by the Holy
Spirit. When you are led by the Holy Spirit then
you are a maturing child of God. We are all
growing and learning in our relationship with our
Heavenly Father. When you begin learning of God,
when you become a mature child of God, you will
have proven yourself by being stable and fixed by
being consistent in your beliefs.
Following the desire of your heart is following
the desire of God’s heart. When you have matured
in your soul, you are able to make wise choices in
following what you should do.
Have a blessed day filled with adventures in
faith!
