"...God is love..." (1 John 4:16)

Love called man/woman out of the dust of the earth and placed them in a paradisiacal setting fitted with everything that their hearts could desire.  They had personal visits with God in the evenings and were asked only one thing:  Do not eat of one tree, just one!  Access was available to all the others.  Just “dress” the garden.  It appears that the garden was self-cultivated.  All the beauty of God’s wonderful creation was at their fingertips.  They were showered with Love!

But there was a visitor in the garden—Satan.  He spoke to Eve through the mouth of a serpent, inviting her to experience “more” than God had allowed.  (Just like he does today—“Listen to me and you will have an enriched life of more wealth, more sensual experiences, more fun!)

There was the choice:  God’s Love and provisions or Satan’s pseudo blessings.  In order to accept Satan’s plan, Eve (and eventually Adam) has to reject Love and all its benefits.  Love called but they rejected it.

This scenario has repeated itself repeatedly since that time, right up to today.  It is a picture of the “Love-Call” to lost mankind.  Adam and Eve’s rejection resulted in their ejection from the beautiful garden, and they left it with sin-genes that have been passed on to every ensuing generation since.  But don’t despair!  The Love-Call is still ringing out today!  In spite of the fall of our first parents, they and we have access to the “Garden of God” where Love dwells.  Our response requires only that we accept the plan God instituted for restoration.  Just like the free access Adam and Eve had in the unblemished garden, we have access to Heaven’s blessings now and eternal life with the One who made it possible—our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Folks will empty their wallets and shell out big bucks for a precious object even if it is soiled.  It may be an antique, dirty and corroded; that makes it more authentic.  After cleaning, it sits in a special place where it will be admired and protected.

This is what Jesus did for sin-infected mankind.  God’s Love is calling yet and will accept the most corroded and dirty sinner and thoroughly clean him/her and set them in a place of protection from Satan to shine for Him so that others can see what awaits those who answer the Love-Call.

Satan loses his claim to those who answer the Love-Call.  As a popular gospel song says, they are “sheltered in the arms of God.”  The blood of Jesus is their covering; their sins will never be brought up by God again!  They would have to turn their back on the Love-Call and totally reject it to lose that protection.  Even then, the Love-Call will not leave them; they will hear it again and again to return to their place of shelter and love.

The Love-Call is sounding out to everyone.  It is not God’s will that any reject it and stay in their soiled, corroded condition.  There is room in Heaven for everyone.  Our deceased loved ones who accepted the only possible passage admittance-requirement—Jesus Christ—are waiting for us.  We will join them at that “Glad Reunion Day” and be forever with them and our Lord.

Soon the Lord will be returning to earth for those who accepted the ticket for which He paid when He died on that cross bearing our sins, arose from the dead and now sits at the right hand of God’s throne—waiting for us to get ready for that final trip.

Have you heard the Love-Call?  If not, you will.  Each of us will hear it at one time or another and repeatedly so.  Have you answered in the affirmative?  If yes, you are in the Family of Love.   God is Love!  That is not just an attribute, it is His “essence”!  That’s who He is.  It is not His definition, it is His Person-inherently.  He will never love you less or more,  His love is unconditional and total.  There is not space in His being that isn’t filled with love.

"Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:39).

Hark! Love is calling! —Answer and then Spread the Word!
