If Jesus’ resurrection did not include ours, it would not profit us, long term, to serve Him.  If this life ended our relationship with Jesus, we would be without the “Blessed Hope” that Paul spoke of, and we would be facing a dismal future.

“If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable” (1 Corinthians 15:19).

Our hope is in our own resurrection to eternal life with Christ—because of His resurrection.  Just as we were crucified with Him as our sins were nailed to His cross, we will be resurrected to be with Him eternally—because of His own resurrection.

At this Easter season, may we be reminded of what it means to us as followers of the Lord.  His appearance on earth guaranteed our appearance in Heaven after this life is over.

“Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord”

(1 Thessalonians 4:17).

Praise God for eternal salvation and life everlasting through Jesus Christ our Lord!
